The opening is bright but brief — mandarin and sugar give a sweet citrus lift while saffron brings immediate spicy warmth. Within about fifteen minutes the heart takes over: Damask rose softens the spice and oud adds a dry, resinous edge that stops the sweetness from turning syrupy. The dry-down is where the name earns itself. Tonka bean, caramel and amberwood melt into a thick golden base, with cedar holding the structure upright. It reads as a modern Middle Eastern amber-gourmand rather than a heavy traditional oud, which makes it far easier to wear in public than most oud-based attars.
